Imagination Journal Page *RR Spoiler* IA

This week's Inspiration Avenue challenge is Art Journaling which fits in perfectly with the fact that I've just finished my June pages for the Round Robin journal swap I'm taking part in. These are my pages in Maggie's journal who incidentally is the IA member hosting this week's challenge. Perfect timing!

Below is the tag created for Maggie which has my details on the back.

This journal swap is helping motivate, focus and inspire me at a time that seems busy and disorganised. Thank you Lisa! My production rate is very low at the moment and other than this swap, making cards & a small bit of writing I've not had as much creative time as I'd like. But this is in part due to the fact we've been very busy with (mostly) pleasant activities/celebrations/events. I'm not complaining because I've been well enough to enjoy them. The novelty of driving again has also tempted me out and away from my art supplies and computer. However, I carry a notebook, camera and am collecting inspiration where ever I go. It will surely all come in useful. I'm only sad that I seem to be a little out of touch with you lovely people in Blogland but I shall try and remedy this asap.

  • What keeps you away from your creative work? Do you view it as a distraction or an opportunity to gather inspiration?
Wishing you all a happy & creative weekend :-)

Kat Xx

    1. Stephanie - thank you sweetie :-) It means a lot cause I always worry I'm the only one in the group that's not an amazing artist. But you all always are so supportive & remind me there's worth in doing my own thing. Hugs, Kat Xx

  3. Kat, it's absolutely, positively, wonderfully GORGEOUS! You know I love your mandalas, and am crazy about color. This is so intricate and zentangle-y...I just love it! Thank you so much for creating these pages that I will treasure forever :-) I can't wait to hold the journal in my hands.

And, YAY! PERFECT timing that you entered this in the art journal challenge at IA.

And thirdly! I'm so happy that you are feeling well. I hope you are discovering some wonderful summertime pleasures and inspiration when you are out and about. I love these days when it stays light so late. Take advantage of it, and never mind blogland for the time being!

    1. Thanks Jenny :-) Yep, I'll keep reminding (aka nagging kindly) about the 'dream' :-) And yep, I could share some of my joy & travels. And will visit your blog in few days to view what I'm guessing is a bit of synchronicity in action! :-)

  8. dear kat,
thank you for your kind visit to recuerda mi corazon. i see we live with the common thread of a rare disease challenging our day to day experience of life. i too look to creativity as a way to wholeness and beauty even when my body denies me these simple pleasures in profound and continuous ways. may we inspire each other to continue on our heartfelt creative path and to live life fully.

  12. Sorry I'm so late to this Kat - been so busy lately with my day job and other work (definitely a distraction from my creativity rather than an opportunity ha ha!)

Your pages are so feminine and pretty - I love the pinks and purples together and the intricate design of the flowers is lovely.

I think you are absolutely right to get out and about - at the moment if we have a day when it's not raining seize it, it's probably summer!! x

    1. Angie - thank you :-) Yes, summer is rather elusive this year & you're right that we need to make the most of rain-free days especially! Hope work eases up & you get some relaxation time soon. Hugs, Kat Xx
